We’re excited to say that filming starts this week on our film Hey Joe in Falkner Square Gardens. Centred on the memorial to Black Merchant Seamen, the film takes us through the lived history of post-war Liverpool through the experiences of our character Joe. The iconic Sailors’ Home which once stood on Canning Place is just one of the stops we’ll be making on this special journey. The illustration below shows the home shortly after it opened in 1850.
