The fourth and final film in Whose History? is now live on the University of Liverpool website. In ‘Let Her Witness It’, we present Mary E. Webb, reimagining the performances she gave during her reading tour of Britain in the 1850s. Like all the films in this series, ‘Let Her Witness It’ has been shaped by the contributions and skills of many people, and we’re particularly indebted to Dr Hannah Murray from the Department of English at Liverpool for directing us towards Mary E. Webb, to Jenny Collins for her fantastic videography, and to Adrianna E. Edwards for her stirring performance as Mary.
